Sun Clinic Hospital was established in 1978 as a small 8 bedded hospital . It gradually grew to become a 35 bedded hospital for advanced Obstetrics and Gynecology and established itself as the leading hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology in Orissa. In September 2000, Sun Clinic Hospital joined hands with healthcare major Apollo Hospitals, Chennai to create a brand new healthcare facility in Cuttack, called Sun Apollo Hospital. Sun Apollo Hospital is in the process of restructuring and renovation and the projected date of completion is February 2001. Additionally, the hospital will have its own catering department, housekeeping, central sterilization unit and a host of other back office facilities to make it the most advanced healthcare facility of its kind.
